Here at ABCO Transportation, the hub of our business happens from the ABCO East Terminal located in Dade City, FL. It takes a network of departments housed in this terminal to keep our trucks on the road and moving refrigerated freight and dry goods across the country.
Located within minutes of Interstate 75, a major north/south artery in the country, ABCO trucks can be in several major cities within 30 minutes to a few hours. Our fleet has easy access to get freight in place quickly.
The East Terminal is home to 160 of our refrigerated trucks. The operation depends on the team working in concert from the time a customer calls for service until the freight reaches its final shipping destination.
A Look Inside Our Terminal
Our terminal tour begins with a stop to see our dedicated customer service staff working to book freight. This is a critical step in our operation since many of our customers are shipping temperature-sensitive goods that must arrive within a certain time frame.
The next level is our planners who are monitoring in-bound freight. The planners are working with our managers who track our drivers to make sure we have personnel with available hours-of-service to handle pickup and delivery schedules.
With the normal wear and tear of our vehicles, our maintenance department is always focused on keeping our trucks on the road. The 160-truck fleet undergoes regularly scheduled checks, along with more comprehensive maintenance.
